How to read these tables. Start with the table that matches your household, find your rating in the left column, then read across. If your spouse receives Aid and Attendance, add the amount from the Aid and Attendance table. For every child beyond the first, add the amount from the additional child table. Dependent allowances apply at 30% and above.
What 2026 VA disability rates actually mean.
VA disability rates determine the monthly compensation veterans receive for service connected conditions. Rates vary by disability rating, from 10% up to 100%, and may include additional allowances for dependents. Our job is to make sure your rating reflects the evidence.
Your rating drives everything
Compensation climbs steeply as your rating rises. The jump from 60% to 100% is worth thousands of dollars a year, which is why an accurate rating matters so much.
Dependents add to it
A spouse, children, and dependent parents each increase your monthly amount once you are rated at 30% or higher.
Ratings are not permanent
If your condition worsened, or a condition was never claimed, the evidence may support more than you are receiving today.
