💡2026 COLA ConfirmedOn October 24, 2025, the Social Security Administration confirmed a 2.8% Cost-of-Living Adjustment for 2026. New rates took effect December 1, 2025, with the first adjusted payment hitting accounts December 31, 2025.

2026 Pay Rate Overview

VA disability compensation rates are adjusted annually based on the Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) tied to the Consumer Price Index. The 2026 increase of 2.8% applies to:

  • Standard schedular disability compensation (10%–100%)
  • Total Disability Individual Unemployability (TDIU)
  • Special Monthly Compensation (SMC)
  • Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC)
  • VA pension benefits

Veterans rated 30% or higher receive additional compensation for dependents. Veterans at 10% or 20% receive a flat rate regardless of family size.
